LANGHE DOLCETTO D.O.C.:
Dolcetto is a red D.O.C wine, produced in Piedmont in seven different Kinds all of them honoured with Controlled Designation of Origin status. They differ in flavour and scent depending on the cultivation area. Just like Barbera, it used to be an everyday table wine while now it’s getting more and more importance thanks to grapes selection and modern production methods. It’s not a sweet wine despite of its name: some people say it’s called Dolcetto probaly because, as every good grape, it grows well on hillocks, in piedmontese dialect “duset”, others believe that its name originates rom the sweet taste of grapes when ripe. Every kind of Dolcetto can be drunk when it’s young. If it’s ne year old and has got an alcohol content equal or superior to 12,5 degrees, it is called “superior
