Arneis is an autochthonous variety, since ever cultivated in the steep, sunny grounds of Roero. After being forgotten for a long period thus favouring some international varieties easier to cultivate and to make into wine (any similarity to Chardonnay is strongly intentional...), Arneis has suddenly made a comeback, rousing interest in those consumers tired of the same old hypertechnological wines, very fragrant and maybe tanned with barrique wood.

Arneis is a structured wine, with a good alcohol content, a low fixed acidity and a very delicate bouquet with herbaceous and fruity notes, suggesting taraxacum and apple.

In order to obtain the best results it should be served with tasty and strong starters like those of the piedmontese cooking.
